Femto Forum announces winners of the Femtocell Industry Awards 2010
London, UK – The Femto Forum, the independent industry and operator association that supports femtocell deployment worldwide, today announced the winners of the Femto Forum Femtocell Industry Awards 2010. (Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom’s mobile division T-Mobile, Ubiquisys and Huawei Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct femtocell Interoperability Testing (IOT) at T-Mobile’s labs over the next 6 months. These interoperability tests will involve femtocells from both Ubiquisys and Huawei, which will communicate using the 3GPP’s new Iuh standardised open interface.

Telefonica unveils LTE partners shortlist (Telecompaper)
(Telecompaper) Telefonica has selected six network equipment vendors for its LTE (4G) trial project across six countries in Europe and Latin America, namely ZTE, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, Nokia Siemens Networks and NEC. The six-month trials will take place in Spain, the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, Brazil and Argentina and marks the start of Telefonica’s LTE vendor selection process.
